1. Manuscript Submission

Authors can submit their manuscripts through the official journal email or online submission system (if applicable). The manuscript must be prepared strictly according to the Author Guidelines mentioned on the journal’s website.
At the time of submission, the corresponding author should ensure:

• The work is original and not under review elsewhere.

• All co-authors have approved the content.

• Figures, tables, and references follow the required format.

A confirmation email is sent once the submission is successfully received.

2. Initial Editorial Screening

Once the paper is received, the editorial team conducts an initial screening to verify basic requirements — scope relevance, formatting, plagiarism check, and ethical compliance.
If the paper passes this stage, it is forwarded for peer review. If revisions are needed at this point, the author will be notified to make corrections before review assignment.

3. Plagiarism Check

IJSMT uses reliable plagiarism detection tools to ensure originality.
Manuscripts with similarity above the acceptable limit (usually 10–15%) are returned for revision or may be rejected.
This ensures that every article published by IJSMT upholds academic honesty and authenticity.

4. Peer Review Process

All manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review, where both authors and reviewers remain anonymous.

The reviewers provide constructive feedback, and based on their recommendations, the editor may decide on one of the following outcomes:

5. Editorial Decision

After receiving the reviewers’ comments and the revised manuscript, the editorial board makes the final decision.

In case of rejection, a notification with brief reasons will be shared with the author.

6. Acceptance Notification and Payment

Once the manuscript is accepted, the author receives an Acceptance Letter along with details of the Article Processing Fee (APF).
The fee covers costs of DOI registration, online hosting, indexing, and archiving.
Authors are required to complete the payment process before the paper proceeds to publication layout.

7. Proofreading and Final Approval

After payment confirmation, the paper enters the proofreading and typesetting stage.
Authors receive a pre-publication proof (PDF version) to check formatting, figures, and minor typographical errors.
Authors must review the proof carefully and return it with final approval before online publication.

8. Online Publication and DOI Assignment

Once the final version is approved, the article is published online in the next available issue of IJSMT.
Each paper is assigned a unique Digital Object Identifier (DOI), ensuring global accessibility and permanent visibility in databases and indexing platforms.
The article becomes freely available under the journal’s Open Access Policy.

9. Indexing and Archiving

After publication, the article is submitted to relevant indexing databases, repositories, and digital libraries for long-term preservation.
IJSMT ensures that all papers remain accessible worldwide for future citations and reference.

10. Certificate and Author Recognition

Authors receive an official Certificate of Publication and a Letter of Appreciation acknowledging their scholarly contribution.
Outstanding papers may be considered for the Best Paper Award, and authors may be invited to join the journal’s review or editorial board in recognition of quality work.

11. Post-Publication Support

Even after publication, IJSMT continues to support authors by promoting their work through academic platforms and social channels.
Authors are encouraged to share their published article links for wider academic reach.
Any errors or corrections identified after publication can be formally requested for review by the editorial team.
