Publication Procedure — IJSMT
At IJSMT, we follow a transparent and systematic publication process designed
to maintain academic quality, fairness, and timely dissemination of research.
Every manuscript undergoes multiple levels of screening, review, and editorial
evaluation before final publication. Below is a clear overview of how your
paper moves from submission to publication.
1. Manuscript Submission
Authors can submit their manuscripts through the official journal email or
online submission system (if applicable). The manuscript must be prepared
strictly according to the Author Guidelines mentioned on the journal’s website.
The corresponding author must ensure originality, co-author approval, and
proper formatting. A confirmation email is sent after successful submission.
2. Initial Editorial Screening
The editorial team verifies scope relevance, formatting, plagiarism status,
and ethical compliance. Manuscripts passing this stage proceed to peer review.
If corrections are required, authors are notified before review assignment.
3. Plagiarism Check
IJSMT uses reliable plagiarism detection tools to ensure originality.
Manuscripts exceeding acceptable similarity limits (typically 10–15%)
are returned for revision or rejected to uphold academic integrity.
4. Peer Review Process
All manuscripts undergo double-blind peer review. Reviewers assess originality,
methodology, contribution to the field, and clarity. Editorial decisions may
include acceptance, revision, resubmission, or rejection.
5. Editorial Decision
After reviewer evaluation and revisions, the editorial board makes the final
decision. Accepted manuscripts move forward once all requirements are met.
Rejections are communicated with brief justification.
6. Acceptance Notification and Payment
Accepted authors receive an official Acceptance Letter and Article Processing
Fee (APF) details. The fee supports DOI registration, hosting, indexing, and
archiving. Payment is mandatory before publication layout.
7. Proofreading and Final Approval
Post-payment, manuscripts undergo typesetting and proofreading. Authors review
the final PDF for minor corrections and must provide approval prior to release.
8. Online Publication and DOI Assignment
Approved articles are published in the next available issue and assigned a
unique DOI, ensuring permanent accessibility under the Open Access policy.
9. Indexing and Archiving
Published articles are submitted to indexing databases and digital repositories
to ensure long-term preservation and global visibility.
10. Certificate and Author Recognition
Authors receive a Certificate of Publication and Letter of Appreciation.
Exceptional papers may be considered for awards or editorial opportunities.
11. Post-Publication Support
IJSMT promotes published research through academic platforms and social channels.
Post-publication corrections may be requested through formal procedures.
Conclusion
The IJSMT publication procedure is structured to be ethical, efficient, and
transparent, ensuring a seamless author experience while maintaining rigorous
academic standards.
