STRATEGIC ROLE OF HUMAN RESOURCE ANALYTICS IN HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS
The evolving landscape of higher education underscores the role of human resource management in influencing institutional performance, academic quality, and organisational resilience. Human Resource Analytics (HR Analytics) involves the collection, processing, and analysis of large volumes of data through AI and analytics systems. These technologies enable educational institutions to make informed, data-driven decisions. They enhance curriculum development, support student recruitment, improve retention strategies, and streamline administrative processes. However, the most critical considerations are ethical aspects such as justice and data privacy. Our research seeks to develop a nuanced understanding of the current application of Human Resource Analytics within HR functions in higher education institutions. We explore critical areas such as recruitment, performance evaluation, and employee engagement to assess the impact of HR Analytics on organisational dynamics.
By leveraging case studies and real-world examples, we showcase successful implementations and the significant implications of HR analytics for higher education. The primary objective of this study is to explore how HR analytics can significantly enhance organisational effectiveness and efficiency within educational institutions. By employing an exploratory research design, this study sheds light on the diverse facets of data analytics in the industry, categorising them into Academic Analytics and Human Analytics. Notably, it places special emphasis on HR analytics, highlighting its vital contribution to achieving business excellence in organisations. Embracing HR analytics can drive meaningful improvements and foster a culture of excellence in education.
