Abstract

The present study investigated gender differences in life satisfaction among elementary school teachers. The research was conducted with the sample of 200 elementary school teachers from Bathinda district. Stratified random sampling technique was used to collect the sample. The research employed a descriptive research design, utilizing standardized tool, Life satisfaction scale by Singh and Joseph (2005). The results revealed that significant gender differences were found in life satisfaction among elementary school teachers. Male teachers show better life satisfaction than female teachers. These results highlight the importance of fostering attributes to enhance teachers’ life satisfaction especially female elementary school teachers. Identifying these differences help female teachers to face challenges and support the development of policies and interventions to improve teachers’ well-being, job satisfaction, and overall educational effectiveness.
