Abstract

In Uttar Pradesh, the social status of women conductors (bus conductors) is undergoing significant change. They are becoming economically empowered and are receiving employment opportunities, training, and safety-related facilities within their districts. These developments are helping them achieve a better balance in their lives.

However, they still face several challenges, such as dealing with passenger behavior and the lack of workplace facilities (for example, proper resting areas). Despite these difficulties, the government and municipal authorities are providing support, which is contributing to improvements in their overall condition and social status.
