Abstract
Employee retention has become a strategic priority in the Indian banking industry due to increasing competition, technological advancements, and changing workforce expectations. This study examines the employee retention strategies adopted by HDFC Bank and evaluates their influence on employee satisfaction, organizational commitment, and workforce stability. The research is based on primary and secondary data collected from 100 employees through a structured questionnaire. The findings reveal that competitive compensation, career development opportunities, leadership support, employee recognition, training programmes, and work-life balance significantly influence employee retention. The study concludes that effective retention strategies enhance employee loyalty, organizational performance, and sustainable growth.
