Research Guidelines:

The International Journal of Science, Strategic Management, and Technology (IJSMT) is committed to the highest standards of academic integrity and publication quality. These guidelines ensure that all submitted manuscripts align with our mission to advance knowledge at the intersection of Science, Management, and Technology.


1. Scope and Accepted Submissions

IJSMT welcomes original, high-quality research that addresses theoretical and practical issues within the journal’s scope. We specifically encourage submissions that explore the interdisciplinary dynamics between Science, Technology, and Management.

We Accept:

  • Original Research Articles: Full-length reports presenting novel findings and rigorous methodology.

  • Review Papers: Comprehensive, critical surveys of existing literature in a specific field.

  • Case Studies: Detailed analyses of real-world problems or applied solutions.

  • Conceptual/Theoretical Papers: Contributions that advance theory or propose new models.


2. Ethical Research and Publication

 

IJSMT strictly adheres to international standards for research ethics, including COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines.

  • Honesty and Transparency: Research must be conducted honestly, responsibly, and with full transparency.

  • Ethical Clearance: Research involving human subjects, animals, or sensitive data must confirm that appropriate ethical clearance and informed consent were obtained.

  • Plagiarism Policy: All submissions undergo screening. Manuscripts demonstrating a similarity index above 10–15% (excluding references) will be subject to rejection without review. Proper citation of all sources is mandatory.

  • Conflicts of Interest: Authors must clearly and fully disclose any potential financial or other conflicts of interest upon submission.


3. Manuscript Preparation

 

Manuscripts must be prepared in clear, concise English and strictly follow these structural requirements:

Title PageFull title, Author(s) names, Affiliation, Contact email, and the ORCID iD (if available) for each author.
AbstractA single paragraph (150–250 words) summarizing the background, objectives, methodology, key results, and conclusions. Include 4–6 keywords.
Main TextStructure should typically include: Introduction (context, objectives), Literature Review (relevant work), Methodology (design, data collection, analysis), Results and Discussion, and Conclusion (summary, implications, future work).
ReferencesMust follow the APA (7th Edition) or IEEE citation style consistently throughout the manuscript.
Figures/TablesNumber consecutively (e.g., Figure 1). All figures must be submitted as high-quality images (minimum 300 dpi).

4. Submission Process and Review

 

  1. Submission: Manuscripts should be submitted electronically in .doc / .docx format via the journal’s online submission system or to editor@ijsmt.org. PDF files are not accepted for initial submission.

  2. Peer Review: IJSMT employs a double-blind peer-review process.

    • Submissions undergo an initial editorial screen for scope and ethical compliance.

    • Eligible manuscripts are sent to at least one independent, expert reviewer.

    • The typical review timeline is 3–6 days, depending on reviewer response.

  3. Suggested Reviewers: Authors may suggest 1-2 potential reviewers (including their email and affiliation) who are external to the authors’ institutions, though the editorial decision remains final.


5. Authorship and Copyright

 

  • Authorship: All authors must have made a significant intellectual contribution to the research. The corresponding author is responsible for all communications and securing co-author approval. Ghost, guest, or gift authorship is strictly prohibited.

  • Open Access Policy: IJSMT operates under an Open Access model. Authors retain copyright to their work.

  • Licensing: Published articles are distributed under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license, permitting free use, distribution, and adaptation with proper credit to the original authors.

  • Publication Fee: IJSMT does not charge any Article Processing Charges (APCs) or submission fees.
