He was a polymath, an artist par excellence and a dynamic cultural therapist of the contemporary India. His compositions in music, poetry and cinematic films reflects deep philosophical approaches which are humanism, multiculturalism, and environmentalism. While he attempts to capture folk realities and folk aesthetics from Assam, his works expressed humane realities which are beyond the regional points. Amongst the songs he has recorded the messages promoting compassion; equality and a better society are liberal. For Hazarika, art was inspired by the principles of Mahatma Gandhi and Rabindranath Tagore whom he wanted to reform society across diverse sectors through art, and empower the oppressed. Substance of his work is the suffering and dream of the ordinary people and his life-long dreams is a border-less world full of compassion and the common heritage of arts; His works also contain respect for nature, which has become an important symbol of him: the Brahmaputra River. He was especially interested in trans-African trips as well as the 1st black struggle organization particularly, which led him on the trail of cross border relibeness.Hazarika was one of the cultural philosophers who would spawn a generation or generations to accept difference and unit it with the universality of brotherhood. This study follows the process of using both primary and secondary data besides analytical method.
