A STUDY ON ORGANIZATIONAL CULTURE AND ITS IMPACT ON EMPLOYEE BEHAVIOUR
Organizational culture plays a significant role in influencing employee behavior and overall organizational performance. It represents the shared values, beliefs, attitudes, and practices followed within an organization that guide employees in their work environment. A positive organizational culture helps in improving employee motivation, commitment, teamwork, communication, and job satisfaction, while a negative culture may lead to stress, conflicts, low productivity, and employee dissatisfaction.
The main objective of this study is to examine the impact of organizational culture on employee behavior. The study focuses on understanding how different cultural factors such as leadership style, communication system, work environment, organizational values, and reward systems affect employee attitudes and behavior in the workplace. It also aims to identify the relationship between organizational culture and employee performance, motivation, and job satisfaction.
The study is based on both primary and secondary data. Primary data may be collected through questionnaires, interviews, or employee surveys, while secondary data is gathered from books, journals, articles, and company records. The collected data is analyzed to understand employee perceptions regarding organizational culture and its influence on their behavior.
The findings of the study indicate that a healthy and supportive organizational culture positively affects employee behavior by improving morale, cooperation, loyalty, and productivity. Employees working in organizations with strong cultural values tend to show higher levels of commitment and better work performance. The study also highlights that effective communication, employee involvement, recognition, and supportive leadership are important factors in developing positive employee behavior.
The study concludes that organizational culture is a powerful tool for achieving organizational success and maintaining employee satisfaction. A strong organizational culture not only improves employee behavior but also enhances organizational effectiveness and long-term growth. Therefore, organizations should focus on developing a positive work culture that encourages employee participation, trust, motivation, and professional development.
