Abstract
This study reviews 20 published research papers that apply PERT and CPM network scheduling to aviation, and uses them to model the launch of a new airline route as a project. The aim is to show how a route launch — from market study to the first scheduled flight — can be planned, timed and controlled with project-network techniques.
