Abstract
Behavioral adaptations in animals are central to the survival of wild animals. Migration of the animals, dormancy, camouflage character, antipredator behavior, territoriality, social cooperation, communication, foraging, and parental care allow animals to respond to complex ecological challenges. These strategies are shaped by natural selection but are also influenced by learning, experience, social relationships, and environmental conditions (Alcock, 2013; Davies et al., 2012). Every behavior of animals involves costs, benefits, constraints, and trade-offs. Animals capable of adjusting behavior to changing conditions may have important advantages under environmental variability. (Krebs & Davies, 1993). For wildlife conservation in natural environment, behavior should therefore be treated as an essential component of ecological assessment. Protecting habitats from the anthropogenic impact, movement routes, breeding areas, and social environments can help maintain the behaviors that sustain populations. Continued research into animal behavior will improve understanding of ecosystem functioning and support evidence-based wildlife management. (Berger-Tal et al., 2011).
